“Optimise your home” is an online design service by Home Architecture Studio, which gives homeowners the opportunity to visualise what may be possible within their home.
We created this service from the knowledge that many homeowners have a desire for a more cost-efficient initial design service that can allow them to understand the potential of their property without needing to commit to a full design package at the outset, yet still benefitting from the knowledge of an experienced architect.
If you are considering extending or reconfiguring the layout of your home but are unsure how to go about it, then “optimise your home” may be perfect for you.
The drawings produced will not constitute a planning or construction drawing, however it will give you the tools to take the idea forward with your local design and construction team. Equally, this is something we can assist with if you are located within Manchester and surrounding areas.
Please be aware this service is only applicable for properties within the UK and the property must be residential, such as a single house or flat/apartment. It is also not appropriate for an loft/dormer conversion as we would require accurate measurements of the space in question, such conversions may be more appropriate for our standard service option.
We may produce social media content about the homes featured in this service however we never disclose key details.
What is involved?
Stage 1 - The Brief
Provide us with a brief by filling in the relevant section of the form at the bottom of this page. We ask you for some basic details about your home and what your aspirations may be for it, i.e. more open plan or additional storage.
Stage 2 - Existing Layout
Once the brief is received, it will be reviewed to ensure we have all the information we need to make a start on producing your existing floor plan.
Generally we shall do this from searching through publicly available information about your property. We may still need to ask for some additional information from you such as providing a few photographs or a dimension or two.
Although we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the available online information relating to your property, in our experience for the purpose of this service it will be sufficiently accurate to enable us to visualise your homes potential.
When we have produced the existing floor plan we will send it through to you to confirm it is correct prior to progressing with your proposed layout design.
Stage 3 - Proposed Layout
Next we will begin working on the proposed design, which is when we will incorporate the information and ideas you have provided earlier in the brief.
Once the proposed layout is ready we shall email it over to you. If required, minor amends can be taken in at this point, free of charge. When you are happy we will the proceed with the next stage.
Stage 4 - Proposed 3D Visuals
This is the final stage and the most rewarding, as this is when you will be truly able to visualise your homes potential. We shall produce professional 3D visuals consisting of one bird’s eye perspective and two internal views.
Once they are ready we shall email them over to you and then you are free to proceed as wish to optimise your home.
